CHC33021 – Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing)
Course Overview
The CHC33021 Certificate III in Individual Support is the latest nationally accredited qualification reflects the role of individuals in the community, home or residential care setting who work under supervision and delegation as a part of a multi-disciplinary team, following an individualised plan to provide person-centred support to people who may require support due to ageing, disability or some other reason. This qualification will help you learn apply basic principles and practices of infection prevention and control, facilitate the empowerment of people receiving support and recognise healthy body systems.

Entry Requirements
There are no prerequisites required to enter this course. However, it is preferred that students:
- Are 16 years of age and over
- Have successfully completed at least Australian high school year 10, or equivalent
- Have basic computer skills
- Have sound Language, Literacy and Numeracy skills*
- Must have good general health and fitness for practicals
- Must have a National Police Clearance that does not have any disclosures that would impact them in gaining employment in the sector.
- Must understand their requirement to have an influenza vaccination and coronavirus vaccination prior to commencing placement
As for certification considerations/requirements before work placement, the following listed will also be reviewed by Integrity RTO Solutions prior to enrolment
- Working with Children Check
- Clear Police check (no older than 3 months)
- Current NDIS Check
- Current Working with Vulnerable People Check (WWVP) card (or evidence of application)
*Learners who do not meet the LLN requirements of the course may still enrol into the course provided the enrolment has been endorsed by the trainer and corresponding additional support strategies have been put in place.
Is Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) available?
Integrity RTO Solutions has a Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) Policy, to ensure that an individual’s prior learning, achieved through formal and informal training, work experience or other life experiences, is appropriately recognised. This recognition may assist Learners to progress faster through a unit of competency, or allow the student full credit.
